Headline Investing That Could Be Hurting Your Portfolio

Are you still making investment decisions based on headlines?

Are you letting headlines determine if you sleep tonight or not?

Look at this example from my friend Nate Geraci, President of The ETF Store here in KC, who says, “Remember, nobody knows anything…” (full tweet linked below)

Michael Burry of “The Big Short” fame tells everyone to sell on February 1st and then says he was wrong on March 30th.

For further reading, here is an article of 10 Times Michael Burry’s Market Crash, Other Predictions were Wrong.

I would encourage you not to make investment decisions or lose any sleep based on headlines, regardless of who’s saying it. They/Burry do not know your financial plan, investment strategy, timeframe, goals, or risk. They do, however, know how to get you to click, and those clicks pay their bills.

Ignore the noise. Stick to your plan.
